We're Unique!

The High School for Violin and Dance is a small school that offers every student classes in string orchestra and dance. No prior experience is necessary. Music students study violin, bass, cello, or viola. Dance students sample modern, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet. We are a close-knit community of learners where everyone gets to know everyone else. Teachers know their students, involve their parents and care-givers, and want only the best for everyone in our community.

College Preparedness

Preparing students for college or the work place is our primary goal. We accomplish this by getting to know the dreams and aspirations of our students and helping them achieve them. We are more than teachers at High School for Violin and Dance - we are coaches, mentors, leaders, and friends. Come for a visit to see the difference.

The Proposed Merger of School for Excellence (09X404) with Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies (09X297) in Building X400 in the 2024-2025 School Year.
